João Pedro Mouzinho de Albuquerque (Lisbon, May 1736 – Leiria, 1802 (some say ca/bef. 1815)) was a Portuguese nobleman. ==Life== A son of Pedro Mamede Mouzinho de Albuquerque and second wife Maria Micaela Tavares de Mesquita, he was baptized at the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora, Lisbon, on June 4, 1736, his godfather being Dom Diogo de Noronha, 3rd Marquess of Marialva and 5th Count of Cantanhede by marriage, represented by his son Dom Rodrigo António de Noronha e Meneses and having officiated the ''Desembargador'' Rev. Dr. Sebastião Pereira de Castro, and born on that same Parish. Chief of Lineage, he was graduated in Laws, Fidalgo-Knight of the Royal Household by Letter Patent (''Alvará'') of March 2, 1737, which abode was augmented to 1$600 ''réis'' a month and 1 ''alqueire'' of barley a day on April 21, 1796, Knight of the Order of Christ on April 26, 1769, ''Corregedor'' of the Crime of the Court and House of the Supplication, Judge of the High Court (''Desembargador'') of the Appeal (''Agravos'') of the House of the Supplication of the Palace and of the King, Commander da Lezíria do Corvilho in the Order of Christ, Member of the Royal Brotherhood of Santa Cruz and Passos da Graça, etc. He also had granted an annuity of 400$000 ''réis'' for his daughters with surviving of one to another. He was the last possessor of the old house and farm of the ''Mouzinhos'', at the Lane of the same name at Chelas, at the Parish of Olivais in Lisbon, which he apperars to have sold in the middle or end of 1788 to Manuel Joaquim de Freitas, who is thought to be ascendant of the 1st Baron and 1st Viscount of Vila Gião (Decrees of 1893 and 1894). He married at the See of Leiria circa 1786 Luísa Gutiérrez da Silva de Ataíde, baptized at the same See of Leiria on September 22, 1763 and born in that Parish, daughter of Luís da Silva de Ataíde, 6th Lord of the Majorat and House do Terreiro and wife ''doña'' Isabel Gutiérrez de Tordoya, Maraver y Silva. He was buried at the Church of São Francisco of Leiria.
